Metal Pall Ring: An Outstanding Packing with High Efficiency and Wide Applications
The Pall ring is an improved product based on the deficiencies of the Raschig ring. Its structural configuration involves cutting one or two rows of rectangular window holes with inward-extending tongues on the side wall of the Raschig ring.
The inward-bent blades of the window holes almost overlap at the center of the ring. Generally, the total area of the openings accounts for approximately 35% of the entire area of the ring. The improved structure significantly increases the utilization rate of the space inside the ring and the inner surface of the ring, enhances the turbulence of the gas phase, improves the distribution state of gas and liquid, and alleviates the phenomena of channeling and wall flow.
