1. Polytetrafluoroethylene PTFE Mesh Pad Demister features,
Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is a kind of material with the characteristics of acid and alkali resistance and resistance to various organic solvents, which is almost insoluble in all solvents. At the same time, polytetrafluoroethylene has the characteristics of high temperature resistance, and its friction coefficient is very low, so it can be used for lubrication, and also become an ideal coating for easy cleaning of the inner layer of water pipes.
PTFE is a kind of high molecular compound which is polymerized from tetrafluoroethylene. Its structure formula is - [- cf2-cf2 -] n- With excellent chemical stability and corrosion resistance, it is one of the best materials with corrosion resistance in the world. Besides molten alkali metal, chlorine trifluoride, chlorine pentafluoride and liquid fluorine, it is also resistant to all other chemicals and can not change when boiling in aqua regia. It is widely used in various occasions requiring acid-base resistance and organic solvents. It has tightness, high lubrication, no sticky, electrical insulation, good aging resistance and excellent temperature resistance. It can work long term from 250ºC to -180ºC degrees. Polytetrafluoroethylene itself is not toxic to humans. The operating temperature is - 190 ~ 250 ºC, and sudden cooling and heating, or alternate operation of cooling and heating is allowed. The pressure is - 0.1-6.4mpa.

- Evaporators - prevent carryover loss of valuable products, keep condensate TDS <10 ppm for highest quality boiler feed water-clean up vacuum ejector stream discharge-lower maintenance in vapor re-compression systems.
- High pressure steam systems - provide dry steam- cut TDS to <10 ppb in condensate-eliminate build-up on turbine blades.
- Refinery towers - increase throughput capacity-take deeper cuts for greater product yields - prolong catalyst life in downstream cracking and reforming units by reducing carbon and metals in side draws-use lower grade crudes.
3. The mesh pad demister is mainly constructed by wire mesh pad and grids. The pad consists multiple layers of fabric-knitted from metals and synthetic fiber monofilament chosen to suit the particular duty requirements. After knitting each layer is crimped and then converted into desired size or shape or pads. The pads are not entirely rigid and generally supported by open grid structure. The grids usually adopt stainless steel 25mm*3mm flat bars and Φ6mm round rods. Sometimes 25*10mm PP grids and special PTFE grids are also used.
